Overnight Hike: Jollie Brook Circuit - Lake Sumner, Canterbury

The Jollie Brook Circuit has been on my wish list for far too long, and I am beyond grateful for having finally ticked it off.

30km over 2 days, with a night at Jollie Brook Hut having gone in from Sisters Swing Bridge via Gabriel's Hut and a quick side trip to Lake Sumner (excuse my error in calling it Lake Taylor), then on to Jollie Brook Hut which we had to ourselves.

Day 2 had us following the Jollie Brook Stream with its endless crossings in very cold water until meeting up with the Hurunui River and returning to Sisters Swing Bridge to complete the circuit.
