Cameron Diaz had plenty of opportunities to put her name on something. In her decades-long career as one of Hollywood’s brightest stars, she always resisted endorsing any brand or attaching her name to a company. But four years ago, that changed. Diaz is the cofounder of the organic and vegan-friendly wine brand Avaline, which she started with Katherine Power in 2020. At the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Laguna Niguel, Diaz discussed why she took a break from Hollywood, what sparked her business venture, and taking the leap for self-fulfillment.
