Washington Today (9-11-24): Speaker cancels House vote on 6-month CR + proof of citizenship to vote

House Speaker Mike Johnson cancels a scheduled vote on a bill to fund the federal government for six months beyond the October 30th deadline, preventing a government shutdown, and to require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote, when it looked like the House vote would fail. We will talk with The Hill Congressional Reporter Mychael Schnell about where things stand. (6)
