This is something I hear quite often and I want to go over why there are much more important things to consider when getting approved for a home loan. As a mortgage broker I have these conversations day in and day out and a few important things to consider when getting pre-approved for a home loan. Many folks want to know the MAX they qualify for when they apply vs structuring a loan that fits their budget and will be a comfortable housing payment for them in the future.
