Kyoto's Bamboo Forest Arashiyama | Japan 4K Walk

Took an early morning walk to Kyoto's famous bamboo forest, Arashiyama!
A slightly rainy day in Kyoto, this was filmed on July 5th, 2022 starting from a stay at a traditional Japanese house. We jumped on the train, and arrived in the Arashiyama area around 7:30AM. First, we walked through the bamboo forest, then up to the Arashiyama Observation Deck to look over the river & mountains.

Usually, there are large groups of tourists roaming the streets, but because Japan is still closed to most tourists, we were able to take these beautiful and relaxing shots sans crowds.

Even when travelers return to Japan, if you want to avoid the crowds, we recommend heading here early morning 6AM~8AM. Although the shops won’t be open, you’ll be able to experience a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy!
