水神廟元代壁畫是中國首批全國重點文物保護單位－洪洞廣勝寺水神廟中的景點，主要保存於水神廟的主體建築明應王殿內，該殿建築和店內雕塑、壁畫均為元代聖物。洪洞水神廟是我國現存最為完整的供奉水神的廟宇，始建不晚於唐代，水神廟內的元代壁畫以祈雨、行雨、酬神為主線，整個壁畫分東、西牆及東南、西南、東北、西北牆六大塊。
佈於殿內四牆的壁畫，高5.5米，總長34米，總面積190平方米，記有《龍王行雨圖》、《祈雨圖》、《元雜劇圖》、《捶丸圖》、《下棋圖》、《漁民售魚圖》、《王宮尚寶圖》、《王宮尚食圖》、《王宮梳妝圖》《古廣勝寺上寺圖》等十餘個故事圖畫。
這些700多年前的壁畫佈置嚴謹，造型生動，色彩渾厚，極富藝術表現力。壁畫所反映的社會生活也相當豐富，堪稱我國風俗神話題材的壁畫傑作。尤其是《元雜劇圖》，繪有人物是一個，生、旦、淨、末、醜，一應俱全，服裝、道具、樂器、舞台等也都刻畫的十分精細，是難得一見的元代雜劇史料，具有很高的藝術價值與文物價值。
The Yuan Dynasty murals in the Water God Temple are a scenic spot in the Water God Temple of Hongdong Guangsheng Temple, one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units in China. They are mainly preserved in the main building of the Water God Temple, Mingyingwang Hall. The building of the hall and the sculptures and murals in the store are all relics of the Yuan Dynasty. Hongdong Water God Temple is the most complete temple dedicated to the Water God in my country. It was built no later than the Tang Dynasty. The Yuan Dynasty murals in the Water God Temple are mainly about praying for rain, raining, and paying tribute to the gods. The entire mural is divided into six parts: the east and west walls and the southeast, southwest, northeast, and northwest walls.
The murals on the four walls of the hall are 5.5 meters high, 34 meters long, and have a total area of 190 square meters. There are more than ten story pictures such as "Dragon King Raining Picture", "Praying for Rain Picture", "Yuan Zaju Picture", "Chuiwan Picture", "Playing Chess Picture", "Fishermen Selling Fish Picture", "Royal Palace Treasure Picture", "Royal Palace Food Picture", "Royal Palace Dressing Picture", and "Ancient Guangsheng Temple Going to the Temple Picture".
These murals from more than 700 years ago have a rigorous layout, vivid shapes, rich colors, and are extremely artistic. The murals also reflect a rich social life, and can be regarded as masterpieces of murals on the theme of Chinese customs and mythology. In particular, the "Yuan Zaju Picture" depicts a complete set of characters, including Sheng, Dan, Jing, Mo, and Chou. The costumes, props, musical instruments, and stage are also very finely portrayed. It is a rare historical material of Yuan Dynasty Zaju, with high artistic and cultural value.
