Wednesday morning Xiao Qi Ji was seen getting some special attention from his keepers at the fence. And on a bright sunshiny day he rolled down the hill once, and then again! (This time of year the contrast between shadow and sun seems much more intense so you really have to look carefully to see our camouflaged black & white bear!) A bit later, for whatever reason, he did his "scary bear" leap and roll! Indoors he spent a brief time in his pool and when the camera caught up to him in room 3 he was sitting near the front windows ... and when he rolled back out popped his treat feeder!

Around 10:30am he had a longer play bout, playing soccer with his enrichment feeder, bouncing in his tree, rolling down the hill, climbing his structures. Indoors he played with his lookie-lou before rolling around in his apparently dry pool. After his dismount off the hammock structure a fruitie was thrown to him and he settled down in the shade to savor his treat.
