What you need to know about Public Service Loan Forgiveness

The Department of Education will temporarily stop processing student loan forgiveness for many borrowers while it transitions the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program to a new platform, according to Forbes. The PSLF program wipes out federal student debt for borrowers in as little as 10 years as long as they work in government or nonprofit jobs. Applications for the program will stop being processed as early as next week.
