Tang Dynasty comes to life for tourists in ancient city of Xian

An interactive cultural attraction in northwest China's Xian City has transported some two million visitors back in time since opening last year. Named after a hit Chinese TV series, "The Longest Day in Changan" is a cluster of restaurants, shops, and markets inside a 24,000 square meter abandoned factory, built to resemble the Tang Dynasty. Role-playing actors mingle with the tourists, many of whom rent traditional Hanfu clothing and get their hair and make-up done for social media.
