Shadow business secretary Jonathan Reynolds has told Sky News the government should publish legal advice on whether Israel has breached international humanitarian law.

But Mr Reynolds, who is a vice-chair of the Labour Friends of Israel group, refused to say whether ministers should suspend arms exports while an investigation into the killing of seven aid workers takes place.

Israel admitted killing the World Central Kitchen volunteers, including the three Britons, in an airstrike in Gaza on Monday.

The attack, which Israel said was a mistake, led to three former Supreme Court justices and 600 legal experts calling for the government to end weapons sales to Israel.
