
New EPA rule to cut vehicle emissions, boost EVs and hybrids
The Biden administration on Wednesday set the nation’s strictest rule yet on vehicle emissions, requiring gasoline-powered models to slash the pollutants and carbon dioxide that contribute to the planet’s warming. The new rule, from the Environmental Protection Agency, will push the auto industry to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.
