The Russian Finance Minister recently announced negotiations with China regarding loans denominated in the yuan. Analysts suggest that with the recent increase in US sanctions against Russia, many banks have tightened business transactions with the country. If Russia indeed opts for Yuan-denominated borrowing, will China be penalized?
