Kimchi has transcended its status as a traditional dish to become the most recognizable symbol of Korean culture. Every year, mothers across the Korean countryside roll up their sleeves to make kimchi to send to their children in the city.

We visited a woman in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province while she was making kimchi. Through the love contained in her kimchi and the sound of kimchi during its creation, we get a glimpse of the sentiment and spirit of Korea.
