NO MORE WATER! What JUST HAPPENED With Colorado River SHOCKED Scientists!
In recent years with the drastic drying up of the Colorado River, scientist are terrified with the things that are being discovered about the river, as well as within the river itself. The Colorado River is one of the principal rivers, along with the Rio Grande in the Southwestern United States and in northern Mexico. The 2,330 km river drains an expansive, arid watershed encompassing parts of seven U.S. and two Mexican states.
The Colorado River, which means 'red' or 'reddish' river in Spanish, was frequently confused by Spanish explorers with the Brazos River to the north. The European discoverer of these two neighboring rivers called the present Colorado River the Brazos de Dios, and called the present Brazos the Colorado River. Its headwaters are in the Rocky Mountains where La Poudre Pass Lake is its source. Located in north central Colorado it flows southwest through the Colorado Plateau country of western Colorado, southeastern Utah and northwestern Arizona where it flows through the Grand Canyon. Colorado and other states have agreed to limit Colorado River water use significantly. The Colorado River flows from the Continental Divide through seven towns and two countries, covering 260 000 square meters. It supplies 36 million people with drinking water and exports more than any other U.S. river. Scientists worry that its flow will continue to diminish until the water disappears. What exactly terrifies the scientist about the drying up of the infamous Colorado River? Let’s dig deep and find out.
