SpaceX HUGE UPDATE on 2nd launch Tower at Starbase and more...
“We're also going to build a second tower ... yeah we're going to be upgrading one Tower while we launch from another Tower so, two towers are important.”
"[We're] adding another pad. We have our first pad obviously but looking at adding another pad because we with the launch Cadence we'd like to have... ...that second pad ready is was going to be another goal that we have for this year."
After senior officials of SpaceX, Elon Musk and Kathy Leuders, both affirm the existence of the second Starship launch tower at Starbase, the construction of the tower is something that cannot be delayed.
Recently, we came across new images at the launch site. While the segments, acting as the frame of the tower, have been arriving in Texas since last year, this is the first appearance of the beam for the construction.
This beam will be installed at the top of the tower, serving as a crucial element in the framework of the structure. It provides support, distributes load, supports various parts or equipment, specifically for the chopstick’s sheaves, and ensures the stability of the entire structure.
In addition, the fourth vertical column, which is also the last column of the tower, also appeared near the tower assembly area.
If you don't recall, the three large tower column sections earlier had cylindrical shapes with protruding fins, and were transported to Starbase from late November, via updated images by Starship Gazer Photography. Thanks to Gazer for these excellent images.
In general, more than half of the components of the second launch tower have gathered at Starbase, signaling that SpaceX will soon commence construction. The second launch tower remains one of the most intriguing aspects at Starbase. SpaceX has not made any announcements or indications regarding the future location of this colossal tower which is taller than the mythical creature Godzilla.
