Strange occurrences before the Gansu earthquake

According to official Chinese media, at 23:59 on February 18, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter scale occurred in Jishishan County, Linxia Province, Gansu Province, at a depth of 6.2 miles (10 km). Ten villages, including Huangcaoping, within a three-mile radius, and ten towns, including Shiyuan Town, within a 12.4-mile radius, were affected. As of 4 p.m. on the 20th, the earthquake has resulted in 134 fatalities, 968 injuries, and 13 missing persons.
