Join my son Everest and I as we walk an easy trail to the well-preserved Japanese colonial-era fort perched atop Mt. Lidong (1914m) in Hsinchu County.
And stick around for a tasty post-hike snack!

History:
Mt. Lidong Fort was built in 1912 following a bloody battle between Japanese troops and the Atayal Indigenous people as the colonial government attempted to gain control of Taiwan’s mountainous regions.
