How Holiday Hard Candy Is Made Traditionally?

This video explores how hard candy is made in a traditional way at Creg Cohen’s shop. Creg and his staff will share with us their candy making story. As a candy maker, their five senses are activated because they have to work with flavors and smells and touch and sight and hear what is going on. You will go through the process of making 3 popular holiday hard candies, they are candy canes, candy drops and image candy. The whole process is based on candy maker’s manual tasks and old techniques and equipment. Beyond the incredible candy making process, Greg also expressed a deep insight behind the story, "People seem to forget that history isn't that far away, and the future isn't either. And we're just sort of here in the middle, being a caretaker for what's around us. Ideas, people, friendships, loves. And if we can remember that, everything's as sweet as candy."
