嘉兴剪纸 | 剪纸起源于战国时期，至北朝、唐、宋时期逐渐发展到图案花样，镂刻金银箔粘贴、窗花、灯彩装饰、皮影人物、节日剪花等。艺人以刀代笔，通过画、剪、刻等技法，加上点染、着色等技巧，创作出精美的剪纸作品。剪纸艺术在嘉兴各县（市、区）农村非常流行。海宁斜桥镇及嘉善魏塘镇、西塘镇的剪纸具有代表性。
Paper-cutting in Jiaxing | Paper-cutting originated in the Warring States Period, and gradually developed into patterns in the Northern Dynasties, Tang and Song Dynasties, such as carved gold and silver foil paste, window grilles, lantern decorations, shadow puppets, and festive flower cuts. Artists use knives instead of pens and create exquisite paper-cut works through painting, cutting, and engraving techniques, as well as dyeing and coloring techniques. The art of paper-cutting is very popular in the rural areas of Jiaxing counties (cities, districts). The paper-cuts in Xieqiao Town of Haining, Weitang Town and Xitang Town of Jiashan are representative.
