
Rep. Travis Couture stands against bill that would allow shelters to hide kids from their parents

Rep. Travis Couture, R-Allyn, spoke against the passage of Senate Bill 5599, which would exempt youth shelters and other similar organizations from parental notification requirements if a child enters their facility seeking or receiving “gender affirming” treatment or reproductive health care services.
The bill passed 57-39 over the objections of House Republicans.
