Tech companies are mining & selling your data, says Minds co-founder Bill Ottman. But government regulation could easily overreach. So what can be done?


"In the app stores, label apps that are surveillance-based and/or are funneling data to different territories around the world. The same way that Twitter is labeling media companies now—you could label apps in the App Store.”


To draw an analogy, it's like how foods are labeled organic or non-GMO. We should do the same with our technology, Ottman says.
