What it's like telling people I'm adopted & How to talk to adopted people
✰ DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE! ✰
In this video I share what it's like telling people I'm adopted & how to talk to adopted people. A lot of the time I am always open, and share that I'm adopted. I've never had a horrible experience, but I do get a lot of common questions like: Do you want to find you real parents, or do you remember China? I also discuss ways in which others can go about talking to someone who is adopted. Using words such as "my own child" is not very thoughtful from some adoptees' point of view. Let's have a conversation in the comments, what are some ways/phrases people can communicate better? This could be about any community!
