Repotting Houseplants || Dracaenas | Croton | Parlor Palm | Pseuderanthemum || Saturday Vlog
In this week's vlog, it's all about repotting houseplants. I did not film this as a how to repot houseplants. Maybe I should have, but I figured that's something that has been discussed with every care video, so no need to repeat? Comment any questions below. The dracaena lime light which is a type of dracaena deremensis ( janet craig dracaena ) has been growing well but it was so top heavy, now it should be more sturdy and happy. Repotting the dracaena marginata was the most necessary, wow that plant was overgrown. Sometimes with marginata I'll add a gritty or bulky material to the potting mix to help it drain and dry more quickly, but I have found that to be unnecessary as long as I am sure to wait for the soil to dry properly between waterings. Really everything I repotted in this video is fine with a standard potting mix that drains well and has some good nutrient content to it. I will get the philodendron gloriosum and some other taken care of next week, or when I move them inside to the warm grow space. Repotting hibiscus is simple, I really didn't talk much about it because there isn't much to it, rich and well drained soil, same as with the others. The last plant I repotted was the Pseuderanthemum black varnish which I am interested to see the performance on this winter. Lastly I showed a new plant from Plant Delights Nursery, the Pink Cascade Salt Cedar.
