Waterlogged at Sam A Baker State Park!

Older and Wiser RV Family Travel Vlog - Season 1, Episode 5!

We're heading off to Sam A Baker State Park in Missouri! They have a great visitor's center, a fantastic campground and tons of great fishing, floating (canoeing) and swimming in the local rivers and creeks. The surrounding area is gorgeous and not far from Clearwater Lake near Piedmont, MO.

We had a little trouble with the campground flooding and cellular signal while trying to work from the road. We had to go into town and visit a McDonald's to get enough signal to work!

We also got to experience our first group camping experience as we were joined by 3 other families who are longtime friends of ours. It was a fantastic experience and we enjoyed it all so much.

We are Katie and Scott, travelers, adventurers, seeking a life of full time RV living with our youngest kid and our crazy dog. Right now we're still at the planning stages, getting ready for fulltime RV life while our older kids finish up school and get settled on their own.

We've started our lives over about 6 years ago, getting married and combining forces into the awesome family of 6 we have now! So in many ways we get to do everything all over again, this time with the benefit of being older and wiser. We plan to home school the little one as we go on the road full time for a few years, then find a place to settle down and call home.

We're still trying to figure out what we're doing with this whole camping and RV life thing and you all get to join us as we learn how to organize our space and downsize all our junk. We're trying to embrace this minimalist lifestyle as well as learn how to use as these great camping and RV products that are out there.
