There was one other question I thought was really interesting that I forgot to answer and it was ‘what traditions did we keep, what did we ditch’

Our wedding wasn’t very traditional at all. My mum walked me down the aisle, no one else spoke at our ceremony, I know a few people have their parents speak sometimes. I didn’t do the something old, something new, borrowed and blue. We did a bouquet toss but not a garter toss. We also didn’t keep any of our wedding cake, they did slice off a chunk for us but I didn’t end up freezing it. I also told Clinton he better not smoosh the cake in my face, haha! Not sure what traditions there are for speeches but we had Clinton speak first, then both our mums. After dinner we had 2 of my siblings make a speech followed by my maid of honour then the best man. We went with a general outline of what a wedding day looks like but ditched a lot of the old fashioned traditions.
