Excessive toilet paper or waste containing rough, solid substances will clog your toilet.
If you are in this situation, don’t worry. This video will show you how to unclog a dirty toilet with vinegar and baking soda.
With only four simple steps, you will be surprised by the result. Please be advised that this method is applied only for a soft stoppage. If you have a hard object like children’s toy clogged in your toilet, you need help from a plumber.

- Step 1 (0:40): Fully prepare all materials as follows:
+ 1 bag of baking soda
+ 1 cup (150-200 mL) small vinegar
+ 1 bucket of hot water at a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius; do not use boiling water because it will damage the enamel on the toilet and can harm the drain system.

- Step 2 (0:56): Pour 1 cup of baking soda into the toilet bowl. Then, pour about 150 to 200 mL of vinegar into the toilet. The chemical reaction between the substances takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
Pour enough vinegar into the toilet. If you add too much vinegar, the foam can be excessive due to the chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar. It will take you a lot of time to clean the toilet floor.

- Step 3: (1: 24) Slowly pour one bucket of warm water (60 degrees Celsius) into the toilet.

- Step 4: (1: 34) Flush water into the toilet 2 to 3 times to decompose the waste drifting down the bridge cellar, then return the ventilation to your toilet.
👉TIP: If leaving the toilet filled with vinegar and baking soda overnight doesn't work, you can try the following ways to unclog the toilet.
- Unclog the toilet with hot water and dish soap
- Unclog the toilet with Coca-Cola
- Use other toilet-unclogging chemicals
💡NOTES:
- Wear rubber gloves, masks, and other protective equipment to prevent infection from the toilet.
- Open the ventilation door and turn on the toilet fan to push the stench outward.
- When using chemicals, please read the safety instructions on the product’s container.
- Do not pour chemicals at the same time. It can cause severe chemical reactions between two or more congested fluids, which could detonate the toilet.
- Call a plumber if you find it necessary.
