In this week's Live Stream Q&A, we shared our first thoughts about expat life in Mexico, and how it compares to expat life in Ecuador. There are several similarities, but also several key differences.

After filming over 300 videos during the last 4 years of living in Ecuador, we've covered most of the areas where expats choose to live and we have a very deep understanding of what it's like to live here.

We've been to Mexico more than a dozen times over the past 20 years, but never to film expat videos for a YouTube channel. That changed on our latest visit when we filmed 6 videos in the areas of Guadalajara and Lake Chapala.

This is our first time filming another popular expat destination and we already have several other trips booked or planned. Our goal is to become a truly international expat channel so we can provide more accurate and comprehensive comparisons because we understand that Ecuador isn't for everyone.

Our current plan is to make Ecuador our homebase and apply for citizenship next year when we're eligible. However, we plan to travel and live in other popular expat countries for 3 to 6 months each year.

Life is short. It's not guaranteed. And the world is waiting for us to explore it! Here we go!
