It looks like it just came out of some extreme real-world tests. These appear to suggest that Tesla is testing the living daylights out of the Cybertruck before it is released. This bodes well for the all-electric pickup truck, as its toughness is one of the key selling points.
There are also several Lidar sensors bolted on the truck. The picture shows two sensors bolted on the hood and another Lidar sensor off to the side above the wheels.
The apparent imaging equipment on the Cybertruck prototype has triggered speculations among Tesla enthusiasts that these devices are for calibrating the autopilot cameras or working out camera placement on the vehicle.
It makes quite a sense, especially considering that the Cybertruck is unlike any other electric car that Tesla has produced to date.
Also, this prototype has different wheels and tires than we usually see. These new wheels have several protrusions and openings.
Then several people online expressed their disapproval of the new wheels and hoped that Tesla would finally change the wheel design when it came time to deliver the vehicle.
With the expected Cybertruck deliveries to begin in roughly one year, the picture seems to confirm that Tesla’s team is working diligently to complete the truck’s final sensor and camera alignments ahead of the production ramp.
Seeing a Cybertruck prototype out in the wild doing real-world testing is exciting. It points to the fact that Tesla is getting closer to launching the vehicle.
In an interview, Musk stated that the Tesla team had “got too carried away with the…” and then paused, which hinted that they struggled to bring a handful of the Cybertruck’s original features to fruition.
Musk and the dedicated Tesla team have continued to prove to the world that they are the company that is solving humanity's issues by fighting for renewable energy and making electric vehicles affordable, fun, safe, and stylish.
One more good news regarding Cybertruck's production is that Musk has confirmed a new 9000-ton Giga Press, which finished assembly. And it is expected to be delivered to Giga Texas any day and used to build the Cybertruck's body.
Some new updated information about Cybertruck has some notable changes, including six wheels with four wheels on the back, a much wider rear body, additional lighting on the top, and a new rack design to supplement the vault.
In the new interior, the most notable change is the white, rectangular, marble-looking dashboard of the Cybertruck prototype is now replaced with a more traditional triangular shape and black material resembling the dashboard of Tesla's current vehicle lineup.
