Industrial blackout at auto hub Chongqing’s to remain indefinitely

As scorching heat waves persist, China's southwestern city of Chongqing is snubbing factories without any specific end date for the blackouts.
The new announcement came on August 24, the initial deadline for the industrial power cut order, which began on August 15. Chongqing authorities explained that temperatures have remained unprecedentedly higher than originally forecast.
