這首歌的原唱者是: 1930年代影劇歌三棲明星白虹小姐，白虹小姐是滿清皇室（正黃旗）的後代，擁有中國流行音樂史上的兩個第一，中國第一位舉辦獨唱音樂會的流行歌星，也是中國第一位由民眾投票選出的“歌唱皇后”。而為這首歌作曲、填詞的則是號稱“中國流行音樂五人幫”之一的著名音樂家：嚴個凡先生，其餘四人則是大名頂頂的：陳歌辛，黎錦光，姚敏和梁樂音老師。這首歌編曲是“爵士”風格再加入京劇的元素。在當時的年代可謂是瘋狂之舉了。

The original singer of this song was Miss Bai Hong, a 1930’s singer, actor, and opera singer. Miss Bai Hong was a descendant of the Manchu emperor. She enjoyed two of the “first” in China’s music history: First popular singer to hold a solo concert, and first singer to win a “People’s Choice” award. The song was written by Mr. Yan Gefan, who was one of the “China Five Music Giants”, the other four being Chen Gexin, Li Jingguang, Yao Min, and Liang Yue. The arrangement of this song is an interesting combination of Jass and Beijing Opera, which at the time was rather wild.
