梅楣的歌唱老師梁萍是四十年代末的上海當紅歌星，她是一位天才型歌手，十五歲那年以第一名的成績考進了「上海百代唱片公司」，她以一曲《王昭君》走紅了上海灘。今年梁萍老師九十三歲高齡，是當今僅存在世的三位上海百代唱片公司老歌星之一，而另外兩位則是現居加拿大的逸敏老師，九十二歲和，現居上海的金溢老師九十一歲。以下這首歌是梁萍老師原唱，作曲、填詞是有 “歌王” 美譽的音樂大師 - 黎錦光先生，配器記譜：馮聰老師。並由四位梅楣歌唱班同學伴唱和聲，他們分別是徐卉淇、朱師嚴、陳哲聖和常天祥同學。同時非常感謝“青青合唱團”的前團長周威均老師的和聲編曲以及幾個月來耐心的指導。

Mei Mei studied music with Miss Liang Ping, who was a pop idol in the 1940’s Shanghai. Liang Ping showed her talent from a young age. At 15, she won first place on an audition held by Shanghai Century Record Company and signed her first contract. Her signature song “Wang Zhaojun” was a household favor for a long time. Now Miss Liang Ping is 93 years old. She was one of the only three singers of the Shanghai Century Recording Company who are still alive. The other two are Miss Yuan Min who is 92 and currently lives in Canada, and Mr. Jin Yi, 91, who still lives in Shanghai. This song was composed by Miss Liang Ping herself. The lyrics were written by the “Lyric King” Li Jingguang. The music was arranged by Mr. Feng Cong.
