Business and Industrial Leaders
Business and Industrial Leaders
Business and Industrial Leaders brings together entrepreneurs, industrialists and teachers of personal achievement whose enterprise shaped the modern economy, mostly in the United States during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The group includes Andrew Carnegie, who built a leading steel company and gave much of his fortune to libraries and education; Henry Ford, whose moving assembly line made the automobile affordable; Milton Hershey, who founded a chocolate company and a school for orphaned children; and Walt Disney, a pioneer of animated film and family entertainment. What unites them is vision, hard work and perseverance through setbacks, and many devoted their wealth to philanthropy that continues to serve communities today.
