On July 31, 2025, Capitol Hill hosted the exclusive U.S. premiere of the political thriller “The Unrestricted War,” a film inspired by real events during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The screening was followed by a high-level panel discussion featuring experts, lawmakers, and leaders from the tech and human rights communities.
Gan Jing World had the honor of hosting this special event, and CEO Dr. Sherry Yin, Ph.D., delivered a powerful keynote speech that drew attention to the film’s impact and the company's broader mission of ethical technology and free speech. Good afternoon. Welcome to this special premiere of "The Unrestricted War." I'm honored to host you today on behalf of Gan Jing World—a content-sharing and video-streaming platform with a mission of putting humanity above technology.
"The Unrestricted War" is a powerful story of courage and truth, produced by NTD Canada, and will stream exclusively on GJW+ starting August 8. It confronts a global pandemic cover-up by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). And in real life, the cover-up of COVID-19 has brought a great threat to humanity.
Gan Jing World was founded in 2022 in Middletown, NY, by Silicon Valley high-tech veterans and business innovators. Many of our staff have witnessed the CCP’s persecution of its own citizens. They came to the United States to study and work. Having experienced both systems, we were alarmed to observe how the CCP’s propaganda, censorship, and surveillance—often through the tech sector—are seeping into the United States little by little, year after year.
The threat is real.
Just this month, Gan Jing World experienced the CCP’s coordinated online attack, flooded with hate comments from fake accounts targeting programs that exposed the persecution of Falun Gong.
We see the Chinese regime extending its transnational repression to the United States, targeting peaceful Falun Gong practitioners and Shen Yun artists.
This is why Gan Jing World was established. We develop technology for the sake of humanity, not controlling people.
