
Musk, Ramaswamy Lay Out Plans for Slashing Government; Man Charged with Planning to Blow Up NYSE
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have laid out their plans for the Department of Government Efficiency in a Wall Street Journal op-ed. The newly created department aims to manage the 36 trillion dollars of national debt. The goal is to cut down on the 7 trillion dollar federal budget by slashing the federal workforce and even canceling entire agencies.
A Florida man was arrested Wednesday and charged in a plot to bomb the New York Stock Exchange this week, according to the FBI. Harun Abdul-Malik Yener of Coral Springs, Florida, was charged with an attempt to use an explosive device to damage or destroy a building used in interstate commerce.
The House Ethics Committee will not release a report on its findings on a probe on former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) for now. Committee chairman Rep. Michael Guest (R-Miss.) told reporters the committee did not reach an agreement to release the report. The House panel expects to meet again Dec. 5 to reconsider releasing its findings.
