The KNIPEX belt pouch has become one of the most popular compact tool organizers in the EDC community, but I wanted to see if it could be taken even further. Instead of carrying the factory configuration, I built a complete subcompact repair kit around the pouch while keeping the Cobra XS pliers.

Inside this build you’ll find a KNIPEX Cobra, a Klein mini ratchet with a bit rack, a Leatherman Micra, and a ThruNite Archer Mini 2 flashlight—all organized into one tiny belt pouch that’s ready for everyday repairs.

The goal wasn’t to carry more gear… it was to carry the right gear. By replacing the pliers wrench with a dedicated ratchet, adding a scissor-based multitool, and including a compact flashlight, this little pouch becomes a surprisingly capable everyday carry toolkit.

Whether you’re into EDC, compact tool kits, minimalist carry, or simply appreciate smart organization, this may be one of the most useful belt pouch setups I’ve built.

If you’d build yours differently, let me know what you’d change!
