If one day I were to truly search for a place to live in seclusion, the only answer in my heart would be the hidden paradise deep within the mountains of Youyang. This place lies deep within the Wujiang Gorge in Youyang, Chongqing. Here, towering mountains, dense forests, and deep, secluded gorges create a remote and isolated atmosphere. Even in such a remote place, a few families still live there. I stumbled upon this place six years ago, and at the time, I found it incredibly magical. Their houses are built on cliffs hundreds of meters high, almost perfectly perpendicular to the river. The vast Wujiang River divides the two banks; one side belongs to Youyang, Chongqing, and the other to Yanhe, Guizhou. From above, a vast, fertile, cultivated land stretches out before the houses. This place is almost completely isolated from the outside world, rarely visited by people, like a hidden paradise. This time, we contacted Uncle Xiong, who lives here. He said that his family has lived here for generations, at least two hundred years. Today, Uncle Xiong will personally take us on a boat trip to explore this hidden gem deep in the mountains.
