Maria Ilyushkina - Prima Ballerina of the Mariinsky Ballet

On September 19, 2025, before a performance of Swan Lake, Mariinsky Theatre Principal Dancer Maria Ilyushkina was officially declared a Prima Ballerina!
In 2016, Maria Ilyushkina graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and was accepted into the Mariinsky Theatre company. She has been a soloist since 2020. Over the years, her repertoire has grown to include more than four dozen roles in classical ballets, 20th-century ballets, and contemporary ballets. Every performance by Maria Ilyushkina is a memorable event.
