Animated time-lapse of two photographs of Union cavalrymen involved in Grierson's Raid during the American Civil War in April/May 1863. The photos are believed to have been taken as the soldiers were preparing for a victory parade in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the conclusion of the raid. The photos were taken by Baton Rouge photographer Andrew Lytle.
