Talking about my favorite plant for the hummingbirds! This is Russelia equisetiformis, also known as the, Coral plant, fountain bush, firecracker plant and hummingbirds plant. These are excellent as perennials in the sub tropics and tropics, and make superb annuals outside of their hardy growing range. Keeping the firecracker plant or coral plant indoors is not terribly hard either. With the right light and warmth, they will even make a wonderful flowering house plant!
