A large-scale movement of spiritual awakening and liberation from the Chinese communist party’s(CCP) control is unfolding today. This movement, Quit the CCP movement (Tuidang) began 20 years ago following the publication of an editorial series by the Epoch Times called “Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party.” This has led to millions of Chinese people renouncing their memberships with party-affiliated organizations, and resignations reaching 443 million as of February 2025.

Renouncing the Chinese communist party is a profound act—not a political statement, but a spiritual awakening. It is a path to self-liberation, allowing individuals to break free from the party’s control, express their true thoughts, and recognize the CCP’s true nature. The majority of citizens in China were coerced into joining the CCP, either through the education system or workplace mandates. Membership requires a public oath, pledging one's life to the CCP’s agenda and eternal loyalty. Quitting the party is a conscious decision to sever ties and renounce these binding, oppressive oaths.

Since the publication of the Nine Commentaries, the Chinese people have come to recognize the true nature of the CCP and are publicly stating their resignations through a secure online portal provided by the Global Service Center for quitting the CCP, a U.S.-based organization. In addition to documenting the numbers and statements of resignations of the Tuidang, the organization also coordinates global efforts to support those seeking to quit and works to educate people worldwide about the party’s oppressive nature.

The Nine Commentaries expose the CCP’s large-scale brutality and inhumane practices, offering a comprehensive analysis of its oppressive nature, its origin and tyrannical rule. Throughout its history, the party has relied on violence and terror to seize and maintain power. By controlling information through censorship, false narratives and indoctrinating people with its ideology, it has systematically erased traditional culture. 

Through its authoritarian rule, the CCP has committed genocide and enforced its reign of terror through violent revolutions. Killing and brainwashing have gone hand in hand to suppress any belief system that is not in line with the party ideology. Following its theories of class struggle and violent revolution, it has purged dissidents and social classes, using deception and force to turn people into obedient subjects of its tyrannical rule. More than 80 million Chinese citizens have died in brutal killings during various revolutions and reign of terror.

Since its inception, the party has stood in opposition to righteousness and morality. Suppression is its primary tool, persecution its expertise, and strict mind control its foundation—ensuring absolute obedience to a single, central authority. 

In recent times, the party has launched a violent persecution campaign against Falun Gong spiritual practice, which has Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance as its core principles. The traditional values and principles of the practice clashed with CCP ideology, and its growing popularity in the 1990s raised concerns among party officials, ultimately leading to its persecution in July 1999.

Through brutal torture and relentless brainwashing, the CCP has continued persecuting, torturing, and killing people for practicing Falun Gong. This suppression has led to a widespread moral decline in China, impacting society as a whole. Even more horrifying is the atrocity of forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience, primarily practitioners of Falun Gong, whose organs are surgically removed without their consent and sold for transplants at exorbitant prices to foreigners. Over the past 25 years, this practice has escalated to an industrial scale, making it one of the most horrific crimes against humanity in the 21st century.

The World Must Pay Attention

The Chinese communist party’s deceptive practices also extend to the world--the global COVID-19 pandemic could have been prevented if the communist party had not lied. The party’s lies and deception has extended worldwide, impacting everyone.

The party's ultimate agenda is global domination. Under the pretense of aiding 68 countries in developing transportation infrastructure(“Belt and Road Initiative”), it strategically traps them in debt while seizing their valuable resources, such as rare earth metals and minerals, as collateral. Through economic coercion and strategic influence, it seeks to assert regional and global dominance.

Beyond territorial expansion, the party is determined to spread its ideology worldwide. It is systematically manipulating narratives in the West—gaining influence over mainstream media, big tech companies, Hollywood, the sports industry, and even politicians. Time and again,bowing to its pressure, they have been engaging in self-censorship, and aligning their rhetoric to serve the party’s interests.

For over 20 years, the party has been stealing intellectual property to strengthen its military and economic power. Programs designed to lure overseas scholars have facilitated economic espionage and intellectual property theft. 

Beyond espionage, the party exports its ideology and exerts soft control through Confucius institutes and Sister city exchange programs. The CCP also plays a key role in fueling global conflicts, causing harm to humanity. In recent years, its malign influence has multiplied as it desperately seeks to maintain its legitimacy and tighten its grip on the world.
