Eagle Pass, Texas, experienced an unprecedented influx of over 1,000 illegal aliens on Tuesday, straining U.S. Border Patrol resources. According to the Del Rio Sector Border Patrol, the day saw more than 2,700 ‘migrant encounters’, with a large number converging on Eagle Pass by midday. This surge was part of a coordinated effort by transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) to overwhelm U.S. border authorities.

A Border Patrol agent told Fox News correspondent Griff Jenkins that TCOs are orchestrating these mass crossings. Footage shared on Twitter shows large groups of migrants entering U.S. territory at various points along the border. In one instance, captured by independent journalist Auden Cabello, approximately ten migrants were seen riding in the bed of a Border Patrol pickup truck, maneuvering through groups of migrants along the Rio Grande.

Immigration news outlet Border Hawk has reported on the organized nature of these mass crossings. Migrants typically spend only a few hours in shelters in Piedras Negras, a Mexican border city opposite Eagle Pass, before receiving GPS coordinates and instructions on where to assemble for coordinated crossings. These events often involve hundreds of migrants and sometimes occur twice daily, following predetermined routes and timings.
