Gan Jing World Advances Digital Literacy in Indonesian Schools

As digital media plays an increasingly influential role in young people’s lives, educators worldwide are placing greater emphasis on creating safe, healthy, and values-centered online environments. In response to this growing need, Gan Jing World continues to expand its campus outreach and educational initiatives across Indonesia, partnering with schools to promote positive digital literacy and responsible media use among students.

Campus Outreach at SMK Prshanti Nilayam High School

On December 12, 2025, SMK Prshanti Nilayam High School in Badung Regency, Bali Province, welcomed the Gan Jing World team for a school-wide outreach program. The event was attended by all Grade X and XI students, who participated with strong enthusiasm and active engagement.

The session introduced Gan Jing World as a digital platform dedicated to positive and educational content, particularly for young people navigating today’s fast-paced and information-dense digital landscape. Through interactive discussions, students were encouraged to think critically about how they consume, create, and share content online, and to reflect on the impact of their digital choices.

The school’s principal, Ni Wayan Suarni, S.Pd, expressed strong support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of digital literacy in shaping students’ character and sense of responsibility in the digital age.

"We fully support this Gan Jing World outreach program, as it aligns with our school’s mission to cultivate students who use digital media wisely, responsibly, and with strong moral values,” she said.

I Wayan Sutama, Bali Regional Coordinator for Gan Jing World, noted that the outreach is part of the platform’s long-term commitment to fostering a clean, positive, and trustworthy digital environment—especially within educational settings.

Meanwhile, Ketut Suartati, who participated as both a volunteer and guest speaker, shared practical insights with students on how to use digital platforms safely, the unique benefits of Gan Jing World, and the importance of choosing and sharing content that is meaningful and socially beneficial.

Since 2023, Gan Jing World has actively engaged communities across Indonesia through a series of outreach and educational initiatives involving secondary school students, university students, and the broader public. Much of this work is carried out through Gan Jing Campus, the platform’s education-focused initiative that supports schools in promoting digital literacy, healthy online behavior, and values-based learning.

These efforts have strengthened local awareness of the platform’s mission and values, alongside growing national recognition—including the official proclamation of March 28 as “Gan Jing World Day” in Batam City, as previously reported, honoring the platform’s positive impact on schools and communities.

Educational Competitions Empower Student Creativity

Beyond in-person school outreach, Gan Jing Campus also supports digital literacy and positive storytelling through localized educational competitions. One such initiative is the #ReportasePendidikan (Education Reportage) competition, designed specifically for schools across Indonesia.

The recent competition attracted participation from a large number of schools and demonstrated strong student creativity and engagement.
