Rich Kid follows math prodigy Ethan Young as he is relegated to a public high school by his domineering, wealthy father. Thrown for a loop, Ethan must hide his privileged past, fit into an unfamiliar world, and — against all odds — rally his new school’s underdog economics club to victory. The film premieres November 25, 2025 on GJW+ (available by subscription or single-title rental).
A story about expectation, identity and the challenges of growing up, Rich Kid combines laugh-out-loud moments with genuine heart. The film explores social stratification, parent-child pressure and the journey toward self-acceptance — all told with a bright, campy tone that will appeal to teens and adults alike.

“Rich Kid is a story that tells a relatable tale regardless of age, gender or ethnicity about the all-too-often strained relationships based on expectations set by our parents — while exploring themes of social stratification, coming-of-age, and self-acceptance,” the film’s creative team explains.
