The 2025 EdTech Taiwan was held from November 13 to 16 at Taipei World Trade Center. This year, the expo reached a new record in scale, bringing together more than 200 organizations and 700 booths. Among the many international and domestic exhibitors, the video-sharing and social platform Gan Jing World stood out as one of the most eye-catching participants, thanks to its globally pioneering non-addictive algorithm and Ethical AI. Gan Jing World’s efforts in using technology to shield children from harmful content—such as violence and digital addiction—as well as its Gan Jing Campus initiative that provides educators with free, high-tech teaching resources, attracted significant attention from the education sector, government agencies, and the general public. The platform’s booth and mission were widely welcomed by media and influencers, who actively visited, filmed, and interviewed. The event organizers also launched a dedicated hashtag contest on Gan Jing World, drawing a large number of short video submissions.

“Ethical AI” Becomes the Focus of the Expo
Gan Jing World Leads a New Standard for Non-Addictive Technology
This year’s 2025 EdTech Taiwan featured major international tech companies—Apple, Google, Meta, LINE—alongside Taiwan’s Ministry of Education and several national universities and research institutions, all showcasing the latest advancements in educational AI. Gan Jing World’s exhibition area centered on four major themes, offering solutions designed for parents and educators:
Ethical AI – Leveraging deep-learning models including Video Quality Rating (VQR), Inappropriate Content Detection (ICD) with over 90% accuracy, and text analytics to filter out violence, crime, and harmful behaviors.
Non-Addictive Algorithms – Featuring a clear content structure and high-quality recommendations while collecting only minimal user data, empowering users to browse safely and independently without being trapped in endless video feeds.
Library Mode Browsing – Providing a rich, encyclopedia-style content ecosystem with categories, subcategories, and thousands of topics, including Gan Jing Kids, curated around six educational values recommended by experts.
Gan Jing Campus Teacher Premium Channel – Offering teachers free premium channels and educational resources, enabling positive online learning and character education for students.
Tony, the director of Taiwan’s Gan Jing Campus initiative, explained that Gan Jing World’s mission is to use technology to help society return to traditional values. Ethical AI ensures that the content is safe and free of harmful material, allowing teachers to confidently let students explore and learn on the platform while sharing their own lesson plans and materials. This creates a learning community among teachers, students, parents, and even international users. Many educators using Gan Jing Campus have expressed that the non-addictive algorithm naturally helps children stay away from addictive apps, giving parents great relief.
Strong Engagement from Educators
Gan Jing World Booth Leads the Expo in Crowd Traffic and Interaction
Throughout the four-day 2025 EdTech Taiwan, Gan Jing World’s booth saw heavy foot traffic and the highest engagement numbers among exhibitors. This included numerous teachers, parents, and education specialists:
- 115 teachers signed up on-site for the free Gan Jing Campus Teacher Premium Channel (valued at $1,448 dollars per year)
- Nearly 700 attendees registered for Gan Jing World on-site
- The co-hosted hashtag campaign #2025EdTechTaiwan attracted over 150 short video submissions, competing for prizes such as the iPhone 17, Gan Jing memberships, and Gan Jing Kids subscriptions
- 24 sessions of “Gan Jing Talks” drew participation from parents and teachers
“Gan Jing Talks” invited more than ten professional educators who actively use Gan Jing Campus in their teaching. They shared their instructional experiences directly with attendees. Speakers included Chen Jing-Rong, recipient of Taiwan’s highest education honor—the 2025 National Outstanding Teacher Award; Zhu Jia-Wei, winner of the SUPER Teacher Award; and Lin Zhi-Yan, selected for the expo’s “Lesson Salon.” They shared how they use Gan Jing World videos to guide SEL instruction, improve student focus, strengthen classroom interaction, and enhance character education.
Gan Jing Campus Teachers: Positive Content Helps Children Naturally Stay Away from TikTok
Lin Zhi-Yan, a teacher at Shen’ao Elementary School in Keelung City, shared how he uses Gan Jing World to implement SEL teaching during the “Lesson Salon.” He noted that while parents traditionally worried about physical dangers when children left home, modern students face numerous risks online. He cited his own 16-year-old daughter as an example—her social media feeds are filled with medical beauty ads, and she sometimes consults ChatGPT for relationship advice. This highlights the convenience of digital technology but also demonstrates the psychological health challenges it can pose for students.

Lin explained that he chooses Gan Jing World videos for SEL because the content is always positive, uplifting, and full of energy. By incorporating videos into lessons and leading discussions and guided questions, he helps students practice perspective-taking—not only building empathy but also developing care for others and improving emotional awareness, elevating their personal growth.
Some parents worry that apps like TikTok negatively influence children’s learning. Lin noted that teachers have observed that because Gan Jing World lacks addictive algorithms, it allows children to learn online without exposure to violent or sexual content, helping them naturally stay away from TikTok and giving parents peace of mind.
He added that when teachers use other social platforms for lessons, they often encounter issues such as vulgar language, inappropriate content, or videos with overly aggressive pacing and exaggerated expressions—all of which can overstimulate students, trigger addictive tendencies, or distract from teaching.
By contrast, the videos on Gan Jing World—whether in vocabulary, pacing, or tone—tend to be calm, warm, and refreshing, helping both students and teachers feel grounded and aligned with the core of SEL.
Influencers and Media Join In, Amplifying the Impact of Educational Issues
Numerous online creators and education-focused influencers visited the booth throughout this year’s 2025 EdTech Taiwan, filming and posting their experiences. Through interviews, demo videos, and highlight features, they helped accelerate the spread of discussions around “Ethical AI” and “non-addictive technology” on social media—significantly increasing Gan Jing World’s visibility and recognition within Taiwan’s education community.
