During a house fire in Aurora on Sept. 11, 2025, investigators Michael Ely and Jacob Leonard forced entry and found Oakley, a 4-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier, who led Ely to his leash so the officer could clip it and carry him out to safety; no people were inside or injured.
