When Baylee and Caleb Cypress dreamed of a big family, they never imagined their story would unfold with not one — but two — sets of twins. What began as an act of faith in a moment of crisis became a journey filled with miracles, surprises and joy beyond measure.
The call came when a family friend was in desperate need. Already 27 weeks pregnant and unable to raise her babies, she turned to the couple. Baylee and Caleb, whose oldest daughter was still under 2, felt the weight of the decision. Yet their conviction was clear.

“In Scripture, we see that Jesus consistently runs after the marginalized. He values orphans and widows,” Baylee told Newsweek. “As people who were ourselves adopted into the family of God by no merit of our own, why wouldn't we also value the vulnerable just as he does?”
The choice came with hurdles. “It was a big decision … plus we knew the legal side would cost money we didn't have … [but] we knew that God would meet us in our need as he always had, so there really was no legitimate reason to say no,” Baylee recalled.

Their faith was met with provision: a church garage sale and community generosity provided the funds, and weeks later, the twins were born. “We're so thankful we didn't take the easy path,” she said. “Our lives have been richly blessed with them — and their birth family — in it.”
But the miracle didn’t end there. Just as they adjusted to life with three little ones, another surprise came — Baylee was pregnant. And not with one baby, but twins again.
“We laughed, because what else can you do?” she told Newsweek. “We had just found out I was pregnant and ended up in the emergency room, thinking I was miscarrying. We'd just begun wrapping our heads around one more baby, so now knowing there were another set of twins coming, which would mean five under 3 years old, was just too wild not to laugh at.”

The early months were grueling — two adopted toddlers and newborn twins, none yet walking. Baylee described it as “pure survival mode.” Help poured in from grandparents, cousins and extended family. “Once we got into a good rhythm, it was more manageable … but you definitely learn to let go of expectations and roll with the punches,” she said.

Even amid the chaos, faith and love carried them forward. Baylee later discovered she was pregnant again. And in August, she joyfully welcomed a new baby girl — another blessing in their already remarkable story.
Today, the Cypress family is a whirlwind of energy, love and faith. “We probably look a little crazy — and maybe irresponsible — to most, but we love having a big family,” Baylee told Newsweek. “It's wild and chaotic, but we have a lot of fun, and our kids are the sweetest friends. We know there will be seasons of hard, but it's so worth it.”
This newest arrival is yet another chapter in a journey that shows when faith leads, miracles multiply.
