While LLMs like OpenAI’s GPT series have demonstrated uncanny mastery over language, reasoning, and abstraction, physical robots continue to struggle with the mundane tasks that toddlers perform effortlessly, such as climbing stairs, picking up oddly shaped objects, or navigating unpredictable terrain. As these two streams of development — AI cognition and robotic embodiment — begin to merge, a new question arises: What kind of future are we creating?
