President Donald Trump intervened Saturday in the growing dispute between Attorney General Pam Bondi and conservative commentator Dan Bongino, publicly rebuking those attacking Bondi over her approach to handling the Jeffrey Epstein case files.
In a sharply worded statement posted to his Truth Social account, Trump defended Bondi’s leadership and dismissed continued scrutiny of the Epstein files as a distraction from the administration’s achievements and priorities.
“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’” Trump asked. “They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening.”
The president described his administration as “PERFECT,” and “THE TALK OF THE WORLD,” and condemned what he referred to as “selfish people” who were undermining the movement “all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”
Trump questioned why figures from the Obama and Biden administrations were not previously held accountable for the contents of the Epstein files and compared the controversy to earlier efforts he described as politically motivated hoaxes.
“Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration, who conned the World with the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 ‘Intelligence’ Agents, ‘THE LAPTOP FROM HELL,’ and more?” Trump said. “They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me.”
Addressing his conservative critics, Trump warned, “Now my so-called ‘friends’ are playing right into their hands.”
The president questioned the timing and motives behind the renewed attention to Epstein’s files, saying, “If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?” He also referenced the continued classification of the John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. assassination records.
Trump urged the movement to stay focused on its agenda, citing administration victories on the border, energy, and foreign policy. “We are about to achieve more in 6 months than any other Administration has achieved in over 100 years,” he declared. “We are saving our Country and, MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, which will continue to be our complete PRIORITY.”
Calling for an end to the feud, Trump praised Bondi’s focus on election integrity and broader DOJ priorities. “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT!” he wrote.
The president concluded his remarks with a call to unity and a reminder of the administration’s direction. “One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World. Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”
