  • Step 1: Power cycle your modem and Deco. Unplug both. Wait 2 minutes. Plug in the modem, let it fully boot, then power the Deco back up.
  • Step 2: Check the Ethernet cable. Seriously sometimes it’s just a loose or faulty cable.
  • Step 3: Open the Deco app. Go to More > Advanced > Internet Connection and verify if your ISP settings are correct. If you're on PPPoE, make sure you’ve entered the right username and password.
  • Step 4: If none of this works, try setting the Deco in Access Point mode instead of Router mode. This helps if your ISP modem/router combo is causing conflicts.

One Deco Node Keeps Dropping Offline

One of your Deco units keeps disappearing from the app or flashing red/yellow.

  • Placement matters. Ensure your secondary Deco unit isn’t too far from the main one. Thick walls, floors, or appliances like fridges and microwaves can seriously mess with the signal.
  • Try relocating the Deco to a slightly different position closer, higher, or with fewer obstructions.
  • Check for interference. If your neighbor’s Wi-Fi is overlapping on the same channel, you can manually change the Wi-Fi channels under Advanced Settings in the app (available in some firmware versions).

App Can’t Find Deco During Setup

  • Make sure Bluetooth and location are enabled on your phone.

  • Disable QoS limits in the app if you don’t need them. Sometimes bandwidth restrictions throttle your connection without you realizing.

Wi-Fi Dead Zones Still Exist

The problem:
You installed a mesh system to eliminate dead zones. Yet, your bedroom or kitchen still has zero signal.

The fix:

  • Add more nodes. Depending on your home’s layout and size, you may simply need more Deco units to cover the area properly.
  • Use the app's signal test to check if the current placement is optimal.
  • Avoid hiding Deco units behind furniture or electronics. These mess with the signal strength more than you think.
  • Consider switching to a Tri-Band Deco model if you have many connected devices and thick walls. They handle interference much better.

Parental Controls Not Working Properly
