From the moment Liyana Svenningsen entered the world, she had something most babies don’t—a full head of thick, luscious hair that quickly made her a local sensation.
Born in August 2024 at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, Scotland, Liyana stunned even the most seasoned midwives with her incredibly full head of dark hair.

"The midwives at the hospital would come to my room and say, 'We're here to see the baby born with a full head of hair,’" said her mother, Hadjer Harizi, 25. "They were quite shocked to see Liyana's hair."
But the fascination with her extraordinary locks didn’t end there. Now seven months old, Liyana has become a showstopper wherever she goes, with passersby so mesmerized by her glorious mane that some even question whether it’s real.

"People always stop us in the street or at the shops to ask about her hair," Hadjer shared. "Someone once asked if it was a wig, and when I jokingly said yes, they fully believed me!"
A Family Trait with a Twist
While many are left in awe by Liyana’s remarkable hair, Hadjer wasn’t entirely shocked.
"I wasn't really surprised because both my husband and I had a lot of hair when we were born too," she said.

Even with genetics at play, Liyana’s dramatic mane has reached new heights, growing thicker and longer at a pace no one expected.
By the time she was just four months old, Hadjer had to start styling it daily to keep it out of her face—something most parents don’t have to think about for years!
A Haircare Routine Fit for a Tiny Superstar
Maintaining Liyana’s iconic look takes dedication.
"I wash her hair every three days because it becomes greasy," Hadjer explained. "We use a scanning app to check for any harsh chemicals in shampoos and conditioner."

And while many babies squirm at the sound of a hairdryer, Liyana embraces it like a pro.
"We never let her hair air-dry. She actually loves using the Dyson hairdryer!"
Letting Her Shine—On Her Own Terms
With hair so stunning it could belong in a baby shampoo commercial, many might expect Hadjer to consider a haircut. But for this proud mom, Liyana’s hair is hers to own.
"I absolutely love styling her hair every day, and I'm not going to cut it until she decides to when she's older," Hadjer affirmed.

For now, Liyana is enjoying life as a little superstar, turning heads with every giggle, every stroll, and every playful flip of her incredible locks.
Her story is a reminder that sometimes, the things that make us stand out are the very things that make us shine the brightest—even if they happen to be a head full of gorgeous hair.
